The Robcaster

This was a seemingly simple build with lots of hidden complexity, adapting the client (Rob, hence the name) requirements to essentially an SG body. The headstock design works well with the tremolo, having a straight-ish string pull and minimal headstock angle. It returns to tune very well after using the tremolo. The Mann bridge is a brilliant design. It’s still based on a standard Fender setup but fine tuned for very stable operation. A worthy upgrade for any guitar with this type of trem installed.

The guitar plays beautifully, with a great tone from the Brierley pickups with astonishing clarity & sustain. The finish came up well and was in the ballpark (colour wise) with clients request.
